Crush3D (Nintendo 3DS)
01-Feb-12

Long-time readers of the site might remember an ingenious puzzle game for the PSP called Crush, and now a few years later SEGA and Zoe Mode have given the game a new lease of life on the 3DS. The switching from 3D to 2D is suited to the handheld but how does the game stack up in 2012? Matt Bailey crushes the world to find an answer in this review.

NeverDead (Xbox 360)
31-Jan-12

The 2012 gaming season has kicked off and it's good to begin with something quirky and original. You don't get much more quirky than Konami's new action game, NeverDead, where limbs literally go flying! Richard Pilot tries to hold on to his head (and arms and legs) in this review.

Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Together (PlayStation Portable)
19-Jan-12

Tactical RPGs haven't been a traditional speciality of ours, but thankfully Ed Moffatt has come along to let us know whether Square Enix's PSP entry into the genre is any good.

Super Mario 3D Land (Nintendo 3DS)
31-Dec-11

When the 3DS came out it was missing a key element; a Mario game. After a slow few months for the new handheld, it finally has not one, but two with Mario Kart 7 and Super Mario 3D Land. Richard Pilot looks at the latter to see if the new platformer can justify a 3DS purchase.

Orcs Must Die! (PC/Mac)
22-Dec-11

Matt Bailey claims he does not have anything against orcs, and yet he seems to have found himself killing vast numbers of them and enjoying it in Robot Entertainment's third-person tower defence game Orcs Must Die!. He explains how this happened in this review of the recent Steam and Xbox Live Arcade release.

Rayman Origins (Xbox 360)
06-Dec-11

Rayman Origins turns its back on over a decade of 3D platformers, instead opting for the 2D ways of the 16-bit classics. Andy Daniel explains why Ubisoft's return to Rayman's roots is as fun as it is beautiful.

Rochard (PlayStation 3)
25-Nov-11

Rochard was a surprise at Gamescom, but does the final game live up to Matt Bailey's early positive impressions? He finds out in this review of the PSN puzzle-platformer.

Sonic Generations (Xbox 360)
22-Nov-11

Andy Daniel continues to be our resident Sonic fan, and so is happy to join SEGA in their 20th Anniversary celebration for their iconic platforming hero. But can Sonic Generations live up to his legacy and succeed where recent Sonic games have not? Andy dashes to an answer in this review.

Rocketbirds: Hardboiled Chicken (PlayStation 3)
15-Nov-11

Why would birds need rockets? Why is that chicken carrying a gun? Are penguins fascists? And what's jetpaction? Matt Bailey answers these questions and more in this review of PSN side-scroller Rocketbirds: Hardboiled Chicken. No answer on how to hard-boil a chicken, though.

Dungeon Defenders (PC/Mac)
11-Nov-11

It's not often that you see games transition from a mobile to a PC, but Trendy Entertainment's popular iOS and Android third-person tower defence game Dungeon Defenders is one of them. Richard Pilot levels up to find out how it plays with a mouse, keyboard, and a much bigger screen.
